Lafargue Institute

The Lafargue Institute is an emerging big tent left‑wing think tank project dedicated to bringing together researchers and activists, to produce accessible, rigorously argued work that supports and speaks to policy makers, media outlets and opinion leaders.

About

Named after Marxist writer Paul Lafargue the Institute aims to connect historical ideological analysis with present struggles: from labour and automation to housing, climate, and infrastructure.

Phase

The Institute is in its founding phase. We are currently assembling the institute board and building an international network of contributors and collaborators who help with research, writing, translation, editing, design, and organizing.

Goals

The institute is dedicated to the creation of reports, op-eds, research papers and practical toolkits for policy makers such as political proposal templates based on big, bold ideas to advance left wing causes for the 21st century.

Structure

We are independent of governments and corporate funders, grounded in a principle of "Big Tent" and "Big Idea" leftism. We are committed to transparency about our methods, governance, and funding.

Who are we?

We are still in the process of assembling the core working group and governing board. The Institute is currently in its founding phase, led by Mia Mulder (founder), with a Core Working Group being formed from contributor responses.

Mia Mulder

Founder & Director

YouTuber, activist, and opinion leader focused on public communication, disinformation, political systems, and strategic communication.
